We built a design system, using the principles of Atomic Design, to scale as both Organic as a company and a product grew. The original MVP product was built using Material UI, so I reverse engineered the component library into Figma and then gradually updated the designs to match our branding. Over time, as the engineering and design teams grew, we extended the design system to work for all 6 of Organic products, while getting full adoption from the engineering team in the process.
